THE STORY OF SEX by Philippe Brenot & Laetitia Coryn

When I found out about this book, I ordered it right away because, Hello!!! Sex and pictures!!! What else could I wish for?

Joke aside, Philippe Brenot, the author of the book, is a famous psychiatrist, anthropologist, and the director of Sexology at Paris Descartes University.
Philippe Brenot partnered up with Laetitia Coryn, a graphic designer so that he can help us, the non-students understand how religion, superstition, and morality laws have shaped our views about sex throughout the centuries. Together, they managed to enlighten us about sex and make us smile at the same time.

So, this is what I learned:

In Ancient Egypt, only prostitutes were allowed to have loose hair, married women had to wear a veil.

Besides the famous red lipstick, we have to THANK Cleopatra for inventing the vibrator.

Fashion has become a prime motivation for sexual liberation of women. It seems that fashion is not just a superficial domaine, after all.

In the future, robots will bring up human babies. Not only will women avoid losing their figure but also babies will be able to have perfect genes.
