Rick was present, and he exuded enlightenment.\u00a0<br \/>\n<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Only when I told my husband about Rick, I found out how successful he was. In that show, he did not brag at all about him.<br \/>\n<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The second time I saw Rick&#8217;s name was on the cover of the latest album of Imagine Dragons.<br \/>\n<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This is why I searched online about Rick Rubin and bought his book\u00a0<\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;THE CREATIVE ACT&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0right away.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">According to Rick, the above story shows my own creativity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>&#8220;Creativity is not a rare ability.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>Creativity is a fundamental aspect of being human.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>And it&#8217;s for all of us.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I genuinely believed Rick&#8217;s words and felt that Rick spoke to me directly.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>&#8220;Flaws are human, and the attraction of art is the humanity held in it.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>If we were machinelike, the art wouldn&#8217;t resonate. It would be soulless.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>We&#8217;re all different and we&#8217;re all imperfect, and the imperfections are what makes each of us and our work interesting.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>We create pieces reflective of who we are, and if insecurity is part of who we are, then our work will have a greater degree of truth in it as a result.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>How we express our creativity is unique because we are unique. <br \/>\nThis is a fact that I have come to accept only recently.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>&#8220;The making of art is not a competitive act.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #008000;\"><em><strong>Our work is representative of the self.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.<\/strong> Rick confessed to Paul McCartney in the miniseries \u201c3,2,1\u201d that he decided to learn to meditate when he found out, at fourteen years old, that the Beatles were practicing it.
