\"\"<\/a>When “Daisy Jones & The Six” was published, I did not buy it because I was uncomfortable reading about a fourteen years old girl doing drugs. Even though at that time, I had read and liked all the novels written by Taylor Jenkins Reid and was lucky enough to be on Sunset Boulevard, near the hotel Daisy was hanging out.<\/p>\n

Four years later, I am watching the trailer for the series based on this book, and when I see Bill winking at Daisy, I am hooked. Therefore I bought the book, and boy, how much did I love it.<\/p>\n

I was fascinated to read about the process of creating music.
\nI was interested to learn that some musicians live through the music, and others just go along with the band.
\nAnd I couldn’t believe the variety and quantity of drugs involved daily in a musician’s life.<\/p>\n

Billy<\/strong>: “As Daisy and I were\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span>singing it, I had to do a few takes in a row to really warm up but Daisy hit it right out of the gate<\/i><\/span><\/span>.
\nShe really…Daisy was a natural.
\nAnd if you’re going up against somebody like Daisy, then yeah, that’s annoying. But if she’s on your team…vow. Powerhouse “<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

Daisy<\/strong>: “I loved Billy’s voice<\/strong><\/em><\/span>.
\nThere was something so plaintive about it. So vulnerable.
\nI thought, <\/strong><\/em>This is the voice of a man who’s seen things<\/strong>.
\nI thought it was so evocative to sound broken the way he did. I didn’t have that.\u00a0I sounded like a cool new pair of jeans and Billy sounded like the pair you’ve had for years.
\nI could see the potential of how we could really complement each other.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Daisy<\/strong>: “Music dig, you know? It can take a shovel to your chest and just start digging until it hits something.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

At first, I think you start getting high to dull your emotions, to escape from them. But after a while you realize that the drugs are what are making you life untenable, they are actually what heightening every emotion you have. It’s making your heartbreak harder, your good times higher. So coming down really does start to feel like rediscovering sanity.<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nAnd when you rediscover your sanity, it’s only a matter of time before you start to get an inkling of why you wanted to escape it in the first place.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Billy<\/strong>: “How could I be around Daisy Jones and not be mesmerized by her? Not fall in love with her?\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nI couldn’t. I just couldn’t.<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

But Camila was always the person I loved the most. She was always the person I would choose.<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nIt is Camila, for me. Always.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Camila<\/strong>: “I wish Billy didn’t love anyone else.
\nBut do you know what I decided a long time ago?
\nI decided I don’t need perfect love and I don’t need a perfect husband and I don’t need perfect kids and a perfect life and all that.<\/span><\/em><\/strong>
\nI want <\/span><\/em>mine<\/span>.<\/span><\/em><\/strong>
