\"\"<\/a>“There’s something about music that brings people together.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Before the Beatles were THE BEATLES and before Oasis became OASIS i.e., famous, they were just a bunch of young men enthusiasts about music, making music and hoping that at some point other people will like the music they were writing and playing.<\/p>\n

Kate Stewart did an excellent job describing this kind of situation for an unknown band “Dead Sergeant.”<\/p>\n

“Their sound was a mix of straight-laced, old school rock paired perfectly with elements of metal, psychedelic, and punk. I was utterly manic and more than floored bearing witness to the beginning of<\/strong> <\/em>something.”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I was impressed with Reid Crowne’s struggles, the bassist of the band, and I understood for the first time how difficult it is to continue to make music while you struggle with your daily work so you can pay the rent and buy the food.<\/p>\n

But I was VERY impressed with Stella. Due to her enthusiasm for the music and her optimism for life (here you can understand what it means to be born in a right family or a bad one), she managed to bring sunshine in Reid’s life. At least, for a while.<\/p>\n

“When it came to the music that touched me, I was addicted to the drive of emotions it brought: anger, love, hate, greed, hunger, thirst, desperation, redemption, peace, and fantasy.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Music was my touchstone, my place of worship. If I went without it too long, I felt an addict’s itch. <\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I could live on it.
\nI thrived on it.
\nIt was my second air.<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

But the night I saw Reid Crowne play, that balance shifted.<\/span><\/strong><\/em>
\nI was riveted, completely and utterly enthralled.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I’d never in my life seen anything sexier than Reid Crowne skilfully spinning his sticks with expertise before he gunned his beats.
\nHis sweat-drenched hair flying loosely around his face while he dug in and reacted to the music with his body, immersed in his rhythm.”<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cDrive\u201d is one of the many books that touched me in a way that I cannot put into words. I just know to tell you that it brought me joy and heartache and love.<\/p>\n
