\"\"<\/a>The smartest promise ever made by an eighteen years old adolescent to her mother:\u00a0<\/p>\n

“And I promised my mother I wouldn’t fall in love with anyone until I’m twenty-three.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

And the reason for this promise is:<\/p>\n

“My mother says that the majority of people have their lives figured out by the age of twenty-three, so I want to make sure I know who I am and what I want of life before\u00a0I allow myself to fall in love.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

I found this observation to be extremely valid because I believe that knowing to love yourself before you fall in love with somebody else is very healthy for any future relationship.
\nOtherwise:<\/p>\n

“You’ll never be able to find yourself if you’re lost in someone else.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Colleen Hoover, a dear friend of mine (in my head of course) makes me feel like an adolescent every time I read one of her books.<\/p>\n

For me it was fascinating to read about the meetings between Ben and Fallon that happened for five years, on November 9th each time.<\/p>\n

“-What if we meet up again next year on the same day?
\nAnd the year after that? We’ll do it for five years. Same date, same time, same place.
\nWe’ll pick up where we left off tonight, but only for the day.
\n<\/strong><\/em><\/span>I’ll make sure you’re following through with your auditions and I can write a book about the days we’re\u00a0<\/i>together.<\/i><\/span><\/span>“<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

“-Meeting up once a year on the same date sounds like a really good basis for a romance novel. If you fictionalized our story, I’d add it to the top of my TBR.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“-I’m serious about this, Fallon. I’ll start writing the damn book tonight if it means I’ll get to see you next November.”<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

“-I’m serious, too,<\/strong><\/em> I say.<\/span>\u00a0We’ll meet every November 9th. Absolutely no\u00a0<\/i>contact<\/i><\/span><\/span>\u00a0in between, though.”<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n

“-That’s fair. November 9th or nothing. And we’ll stop after five years?”<\/i><\/strong> he asks.<\/span>\u00a0
\nWhen we’re both twenty-three?”<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

I nod, but I don’t ask him what I’m sure we’re both thinking. Which is what happens after the fifth year?\u00a0<\/span>
\nI guess that’s worth saving for another day…when we see if both of us actually stick to this ridiculous plan.”<\/span><\/p>\n
